My name is Richard Grady and
in 1998 I started to use my home computer to earn money
on the Internet.
By 2004 I had created a

First off, I need to make one thing very
clear –
I am not a computer expert or 'techno- geek'. I spent 17 years
working in finance as a corporate banker. My job was to lend money
to companies, which helped OTHER PEOPLE get
rich! I hated working in finance and knew that the only
way I could be genuinely happy in my work was to work for
myself. This of course is easier said than done.
In 1998 however, I came across the eBay.com website and the seed of
an opportunity began to germinate in my mind. I spent the new
few years learning about web page design, payment processing, search
engine optimization, email marketing, eBook creation and much much
more. Back then, it was far more difficult to find information on
these topics than it is today and much of the learning process
consisted of just testing things until eventually you made it work!
As I said a moment ago, I am certainly no
computer expert and given the wealth of good quality information
available today, I really believe that if I was able to figure
this Internet marketing thing out for myself, then it shouldn’t be
beyond the reaches of the vast majority of people. Yes it
involves hard work and yes you may well have to spend weeks or
months learning new skills but if you want to make a permanent
change to your lifestyle, then surely a bit of sacrifice is well
worth it?
