Hi Folks!

How to get countless inbound links to your website....

Inbound links (links from other websites to your own) are highly beneficial for a variety of reasons.  If you asked the average webmaster why they might want inbound links, I can guarantee that most would say that these links improve search engine rankings and also a sites Page Rank (an indication provided by Google to show how many other websites point to a particular URL).

Whilst both of these are perfectly good reasons as to why you might want hundreds of websites pointing to your own, how about the even more obvious answer that any link to your site acts as a way of getting a potential customer to your site?

Of course, the ideal situation is to have hundreds or even thousands of links to your website from other sites that have content that is relevant to your own.  This means that if someone clicks on your link, the chances are that they have at least a mild interest in whatever you are offering.

Pretty basic stuff to most of you I am sure so let me move onto the main topic of this article - how I managed to get countless (and I mean thousands) of links to my websites for next to nothing!

Approximately 2 years ago, I wrote a newsletter about writing articles and having them published on websites owned by other people - there are numerous sites that are happy to publish articles on all manner of topics and in return, you can put a link or two at the bottom of the article that leads back to your own website/s.

Around the same time, I started to submit these newsletter articles to article websites, directories - in fact just about any site that I could.  Initially it was a bit of an experiment but it soon became one of my main marketing activities (and you will see why when you look at my results below).

Although it only takes a few seconds to submit an article to one website, submitting the same article to multiple sites soon starts to become very time consuming and therefore, after a few months, I began to use an online service to automate the submission process.  This is a service which I have never discussed previously and whilst it isn't a 'secret' as such, it is one of those things that I have kept close to my chest :-)

Automating the submission process was a real turning point (as is so often the case online) as it meant that my articles were published on far more websites than I had been submitting to manually and it also gave site owners the option of automatically adding any new articles to their site with no extra work on their part!

So, let's look at some figures and you can see why I am so keen on writing articles for links....

Do a search for Google for my name 'Richard Grady' and it returns over 2,000,000 results.  Of course, not all of these results relate to me - there are other people with the same name :-)

In order to narrow things down a bit, change the search to 'copyright Richard Grady'.  This will get rid of a lot of the results that don't relate to me but will retain all of my published articles since each one contains a copyright notice.

With this slight change, there are still over 950,000 search results!

Now again, not every single result relates to one of my articles BUT the vast majority DO.  I didn't have time to check each one of the 950,000 links but on the first 10 pages of search results, nearly every single result is one of my articles published on someone else's website.  And every single one of those articles has a link (or in some cases up to three!) back to my site/s.

Even if only 1% of those links results in a click-through each month, that would still give me 9500 FREE visitors a month!

Bottom line - writing articles can generate huge levels of traffic.  Ok it has taken me two years to achieve the results above but I only write this newsletter twice a month.  Just think how the results would differ if I wrote an article every week?

If you are looking for ways of increasing both inbound links to your website and your traffic, you could do a lot worse than start to writing and submitting articles.

As promised, the link below will take you to the article submission service that I have been using for well over a year - I highly recommend it.  (And don't think this is just for articles about Internet marketing - the service will submit articles to appropriate sites based on a huge range of topics from health and fitness to finance to religion, so there is almost certainly something of relevance to your business).
